I made a dress during sewing class! For my very first dress ever, I wanted something with a retro feel, but very wearable.
I took an old Burda pattern from 2001 and changed it in 4 ways: 3/4 sleeves instead of short ones, a wider skirt, no pockets and no matching belt. It seemed only logical when I started out to alter all these things, but for a first project it would have been a lot easier if I had just used an existing pattern. Well, that's me I guess, I don't follow the rules when it comes to crafting!
Fabric: Vintage... found at a doll fair, but I immediately envisioned a dress for myself.
Buttons: From Frans Meulensteen fournituren at the Saturday market in Den Bosch, I liked the understated vintage look.
